About David

David Duguid, 52, lives in Turriff with his wife, Rose and their two young children. David attended school in Macduff and Banff before going to university in Aberdeen.

As well as 25 years experience in the oil and gas business, David brings a passion for the development of traditional industries in Banff and Buchan – particularly fishing and farming.

Since being elected David has become involved in various local issues such as 22q11.2 Deletion Syndrome, Gardenstown landslip, Sandend windfarm development, rural broadband and town regeneration, the campaign to keep MIUs open, and the rebuilding of the King Edward bridges destroyed by storms in late 2019.

David promoted to Scotland Office

Banff and Buchan MP David Duguid has been promoted to a junior ministerial role in the UK Government.

 

The Scottish Conservative MP will take up the position of Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State in the Scotland Office.
