A review is to be carried out of the current 40mph speed limit in memsie after residents raised concerns about speeding through the village. David Duguid took those concerns to the Council who have now agreed to carry out a review.
Commenting, David Duguid said,
Memsie residents tell me that many drivers are not abiding by the 40mph speed limit, which is putting the growing number of pedestrians at risk.
I am pleased that the council, working with police, will carry out a traffic study to see if a reduction in the speed limit to 30mph can be justified.
