MP shares police appeal for witnesses following fatal crash
Banff and Buchan MP David Duguid has urged anyone with information or dash cam footage to contact police after a fatal crash on the A950 between Mintlaw and New Pitsligo.
The accident comes days after a report from the AA Charitable trust highlighted the danger of accidents on the A950.
Police Scotland is appealing for information following a fatal road crash which occurred in Aberdeenshire on Friday, 14 May.
Around 5.50pm officers were called to the A950 Mintlaw to New Pitsligo road following a two car road crash.
Emergency services attended and one man was pronounced dead at the scene. Another man was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment to serious injuries.
The road was closed for several hours to allow scene investigation.
Sergeant Scott Deans from the North East Road Policing Unit said: “I am appealing for anyone with further information, or potential dash-cam footage of the incident, to please get in touch.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland through 101, quoting incident number 2744 of 14 May."

“Just this week, the AA Charitable Trust released a report which indicated the dangers of this road. This tragic incident yesterday serves as a reminder to take care on all rural roads.
