The @WeAreOpenreach #CommunityConnectors Awards are a chance to celebrate those who are helping their communities during lockdown. Know someone from Banff and Buchan who should be recognised? Please get in touch.
Openreach are asking Members of Parliament to nominate constituents who they feel contribute to, and positively impact, their communities during the coronavirus pandemic.
This year has brought out the very best in people in the most challenging conditions. As we've seen on the news, social media and first-hand, people have shown great resilience under pressure.
We want to celebrate these efforts and all the amazing people who’re making a real difference during these difficult times.
How it works
Openreach are asking MPs to nominate constituents who've helped their community during these unprecedented times. It might be the knitting circle making PPE, teenagers delivering supplies to vulnerable people, or the street choirmaster who’s been lifting spirits with a weekly singalong.
The winners will be chosen by a judging panel of Openreach engineers, and invited to a special presentation in November to celebrate with their MPs.
