#Take5forTourism

Scotland Open for Business

Wednesday, 15 July, 2020

As restrictions on indoor retail have been eased further this week, VisitScotland has declared tourism in Scotland fully open.

But the virus is not gone and we must continue to follow guidance as we reopen our businesses and shops. That is why VisitScotland have launched their #respectprotectenjoy guide to ensuring a safe time in Scotland.

VisitScotland have also launched their #Take5forTourism campaign to let people know the 5 things they can do to support our tourism industry.

The north-east and Banff and Buchan in particular have lots of exciting and wonderful attractions to offer and our tourism industry really needs the support of locals and visitors alike to continue to progress out of this crisis. I strongly encourage people to stick close to home and explore and enjoy the amazing treasures that our corner of the world has to offer.

Scotland really is a welcoming nation to visitors from around the world, and is open for business, so this is really not the time to be talking of closing the border with England.

Please travel responsibly
