These last few months have been unprecedented. our way of life has changed beyond recognition. More than ever, our civic duty to each other was clear.
Our health and care workers have been keeping us safe, our energy workers have been keeping the lights on, our shop workers have been keeping the shelves filled while we tackle COVID-19. But there are countless local heroes who have done their part to help their local communities, towns, villages, and streets.
These heroes are the businesses that have converted to provide food packages for our most vulnerable, they are the children who have used some of their time at home to make parcels for the elderly, they are the local charities who have provided delivery and pick up services for those who were shielding.
In our community's time of need, they were there for us and I am proud of the work they have done during this crisis to help each other and strengthen the sense of community around us.
