The Chancellor, Rishi Sunak has today unveiled the Government Plan worth £30 billion for jobs to re-energise the economy following the coronavirus pandemic. That is on top of the £160 billion already spent by our UK Government to protect jobs and livelihoods - not including loans and tex deferrals
DISCLAIMER: Some of the measures announced below do not apply to Scotland and will require the Scottish Government to match the commitments made by the Chancellor to businesses and workers in Scotland. The Scottish Government will receive £800 million to cover those commitments as a result of today's announcement.

2/ The Kickstart Scheme will directly pay employers to create new jobs for any 16-24 year old at risk of long-term unemployment.
We will pay young people’s wages for six months, plus an amount to cover overheads. That means, for a 24-year-old, the grant will be around £6,500.

We are doubling the number of work coaches at a cost of nearly £900m this year.
